What this is
stilltimeto.com does one thing: it turns the vague comfort of later into a number that gets smaller. How many weekends you have left. How many more times you will realistically sit across from your parents. How many springs. How many summers before your kid stops wanting to come along.
Once you have the number, you can write down what you have been postponing: people to call, letters never sent, promises made to someone who is still waiting. Every promise you keep puts another flower on the hillside.
Why it exists
Most regrets are not caused by running out of time. They are caused by believing there is still plenty. Anything without a deadline stays at the bottom of the list forever. Put a shrinking number next to it and it moves.
The site is not built to make you anxious. Its backdrop is a sky that travels with your age — just past sunrise at fifteen, high noon through your twenties and thirties, then slowly turning gold. It is still light out. That is the point.
How it works
- No accounts. No sign-up, no email, no phone number.
- Nothing is uploaded. Your age, names, lists, letters and photos live in your browser's own storage (localStorage and IndexedDB). They are never sent to us — we do not operate a server that could hold them.
- Photos stay local. Images you add are resized and re-encoded inside the browser, which drops the original EXIF metadata (including where the photo was taken), then stored in the local database.
- Sharing is something you do. Share cards are drawn in your browser and downloaded to your device; what a share link contains is up to you.
The trade-off: switch devices, clear your browser data or use a private window and the content will not follow you. That is a deliberate choice — see the Privacy Policy.
How the numbers are worked out
Every tool uses the same simple arithmetic: your age and a life expectancy figure give a number of remaining days, which is then expressed in weekends, springs, visits and so on. The default life expectancy is an editable reference value, not a prediction about you. Real lives run both shorter and much longer. See the Disclaimer.
Who it is for
The site is intended for people aged 15 and over. It is not designed for children, and it is not a tool for working through grief or a mental health crisis.
How it is paid for
The site is free. We may show third-party ads to cover the domain and hosting; whether ads run at all, and whether they are personalised, depends on what you choose in the cookie settings. We do not sell your data — we do not hold any data worth selling.
